Semi 1: Bridgnorth 2-3 Telford & Wrekin

Telford & Wrekin opened the scoring in this close encounter with a well worked move that ended with Alex Johnson putting it into the net. But the cup holders Bridgnorth bounced back and equalised through Danny Wright to make it 1-1 at half time. Telford started the second half the stronger and went 2-1 up through Dave Tracey but Bridgnorth again pegged them back with an Ali Raza strike from a penalty corner. Telford had the upper had but it was just a minute from time when John Heath touched in a Liam Hennessey reverse stick shot.

Semi 2: Shrewsbury 2-2 Whitchurch

In an equally close game it was Shrewsbury who opened the scoring through Andrew Lloyd. But Whitchurch came back and equalised through Billy Edwards before Shrewsbury got their noses in front again with another goal from Andrew Lloyd. Whitchurch did not give up and scored their second equaliser through Andy Mitchell. With the tight timings involved the game went straight to penalty strokes and Shrewsbury came out on top.

3rd/4th: Bridgnorth 5-1 Whitchurch

Having lost the chance of retaining the title Bridgnorth put Whitchurch to the sword scoring five goals; some feat in these 25-minutes each way games. Their scorers were David Devey, Ed Brown who has returned to the club having completed his studies at university, Ali Raza with two and Peter Evans. The sole Whitchurch reply came from Billy Edwards with his second of the day.

Final: Shrewsbury 0-2 Telford & Wrekin

In the final Shrewsbury never really looking like scoring and it was just a question of how long they could keep Telford at bay. However, Shrewsbury's chance came a few minutes before half time when Telford were reduced to nine men after they lost their cool when some unnecessarily rough play by Shrewsbury went unpunished. But Shrewsbury were unable to take advantage and the half ended scoreless. With Telford back to full strength they soon began to gain control of the game and took the lead through Simon (tic-tac) Taylor, a summer transfer from Shrewsbury and the target of the first half shenanigans. Telford sealed the victory with their second five minutes from time when Dave Tracey slapped a mistimed clearance from the Shrewsbury keeper straight back into the net.
